The most interesting thing about this site is that it caters for a multi-lingual environment which is very productive for bringing a global image to the social site. This site highlights the problems which scientists face if they are non-English speakers researching in English and vice versa. It thus provides its research material in Spanish, Japanese, French, Chinese and various other languages that the scientists on the social forum understand.

SurgyTec.com is another science related social site. It is actually a video sharing site for professionals in the medical field including surgeons and general practitioners. These professionals upload videos and slide shows to show new innovative techniques and share them with the community. Videos can be searched by the specialty e.g. organ, region, tissue, technique or aetiology. It is very fascinating especially for surgeons who have to update themselves o new techniques. Finally we have Academia.edu which has been created recently by a graduate from Oxford University. This site displays academic information in a tree format as per the department that they are affiliated to. Then the researchers can access their field of specification. The site has attracted very highly rated scientists who interact on a personal basis. These social sites are many and more are coming up as the need for sharing knowledge keeps growing.
