If each person in family has there own individual accounts than in such a situation having individual account can protect that computer from any modification as carried away by a child in the family. This way a person by accessing his only log in can access only files saved by him.

Protect Files with Passwords: After protecting computer with password procedure on log on, the next step is protecting confidential documents and spreadsheets like family budgets with the help of password. To protect a file with password in Word or Excel open the document. Click mouse on the Microsoft Office button and click Save As > Tools > General Options; type your password in the Password to open box, confirm the password, and then hit OK. When you click OK, you will be prompted to re-enter your password. Save your file. After, it whenever you would reopen your file you would be prompted to enter the password you choose out.

Science is dynamic meaning that the science of the 20th century is not the science that we shall rely on in the 21st. in this light; various scientists have to work round the clock to keep science up to date with the needs of these age and time. To do this, these scientists need to work together to improve what is already there or to tread in new waters to come up with novel designs and creations. Social media sites are fertile grounds for such forms of networking on a major level. These sites provide a forum where the scientists can discuss and expand the scope of their knowledge through interaction.

There is a large number of such sites and they all serve the same purpose to bring scientists together in one forum. One of these sites is Labspaces.net. This social network site brings together scientists from various genres of science. It has all the notable features of a social networking site including a daily science news feed, incorporated science forum, lab profiles, science blogs and a protocol database. It also provides space for researchers to make their own user profiles, add a publication history, upload technical research tools blog on science and share articles with the community.

Another wonderful social site for scientists is the Research Co-operative at cooperative.ning.com. The most interesting thing about this site is that it caters for a multi-lingual environment which is very productive for bringing a global image to the social site. This site highlights the problems which scientists face if they are non-English speakers researching in English and vice versa. It thus provides its research material in Spanish, Japanese, French, Chinese and various other languages that the scientists on the social forum understand.

SurgyTec.com is another science related social site. It is actually a video sharing site for professionals in the medical field including surgeons and general practitioners. These professionals upload videos and slide shows to show new innovative techniques and share them with the community. Videos can be searched by the specialty e.g. organ, region, tissue, technique or aetiology. It is very fascinating especially for surgeons who have to update themselves o new techniques. The site currently serves over 4000 surgeons practising in 124 countries and sharing more than 400 medical procedures.

Finally we have Academia.edu which has been created recently by a graduate from Oxford University. This site displays academic information in a tree format as per the department that they are affiliated to. Then the researchers can access their field of specification. The site has attracted very highly rated scientists who interact on a personal basis. These social sites are many and more are coming up as the need for sharing knowledge keeps growing.
